Climbing Wall Activities for the
Whole Community
Welcome
Welcome to OTR. We are a new Community Interest Company founded by Andy Coltart, a Youth & Community Worker from Liverpool. OTR was set up in response to the Merseyside Redeeming Our Communities event at the Liverpool Echo Arena in June 2009.

OnThisROC are now GB Climbing Team Sponsors!
To celebrate becoming a sponsor of the GB Climbing Team we are offering a discount to join one of our Wednesday Climbing Clubs.
You will get ten 2hr lessons for the price of eight. Instructor and equipment included for a total of £120. This offer has limited places so don't wait too long before calling us.
Also our club members will get to take part in a training session with the GB Youth Team each year! So come and join the best! Contact us for more details.
OTR's Blind/VI Climbing Team Achieve Gold at the BMC Para Climbing Competition
OnThisROC and Bradbury Fields have set up a climbing project for blind and visually impaired young people in Liverpool.
The project has 7 Blind/visually impaired young people and a number of sighted teenagers and students who volunteer as sighted guides. All our volunteers have been sight guide trained by Bradbury Fields and climb with one of OnThisROC's clubs. We also have two qualified climbing coaches: Andy Coltart and Nick Harry.
On April 15th five of the group competed in the first round of the British Para Climbing Championships in Rochdale and achieved 3 medals including a Gold! The team will be competing in Newcastle and London in the next few months.
The manager of the GB Climbing Team was there and has said that the group could potentially represent Britain in the World Para Climbing Championships in Paris this Sept if they continue to perform at this level.
We are very excited about this. The group have already made UK climbing history by becoming the first blind/VI young people to ever take part in the British Para Climbing Championships. We hope they can go further and show others that disability doesn't mean inability!
